Duties of my day job called today and has kept me busy all day with no chance for escape. So I grabbed this shot at my desk to show the type of day it was. Not all of God’s blessings are obvious, but I am thankful for my job which provides well enough for me to pursue my photography hobby.
Here’s hoping for a better tomorrow.
The sun finally came out today! To counter that, it was cold and windy, which means that most of the birds were hunkered down somewhere away from me. I was about to end up with a shot of a pine cone but after coming back to the house, I noticed these sparrows around the feeder. I was finally able to get one away from the feeder for a decent shot. According to my Stokes Field Guide, this is a Chipping Sparrow.
January 3, 2015 / American Goldfinch
Today I was blessed with an American Goldfinch. There were several of these outside, at least until I opened the door to take a few shots. And lo and behold this afternoon the sun begin to shine through albeit briefly. Hoping that the end of the dreariness is coming to an end soon.
